Microsoft Access File Data Mapping Configuration

To create a Microsoft Access File data mapping configuration, the following steps are involved:

  • Start by opening the Creating a New Data Mapping Configuration wizard.
  • In the list, select Data mapping Configuration -> Files -> Microsoft Access and click Next.
  • Browse to the Microsoft Access File you want to open.
  • Click Finish to close the dialog and open the actual data Mapping configuration (See Creating the Data Mapping Workflow).
Microsoft Access database files (.mdb) have a specific issue where, if removing records from a table, some of the remaining records may not be readable unless the .mdb file is compacted. This is not an issue with Connect specifically, but rather in the way .mdb files are built and accessed from. Click here for information on how to compact your database.
